I'm a newbie to this and wanted to get some opinions on prices. I've talked to two local dealers on the following package and they are within a couple of hundred dollars of each other. This was initial visits and no heavy negotiating yet. Good, bad, do better? Thanks for any input.

4115 w/folding ROPS, DSCV, R4’s, coolant heater, power beyond, rear hydraulic outlets, transmission heater, 2 rear work lights $14,350 (after rebates)
410 FEL 49” bucket w/ballast box $2430
46 BH w/13” bucket & level ind. $5250
I-Match $220
54” Front Blade $1000
Implement Rebate $300

Hello,

I just looked at a 4115 with loader a couple weekends ago...
It was a private seller... 2003... with just 35 hours... and for 13,500... Like New... I ended up buying a Kubota...

He lives close to Morse Rd. off wagner rd. TRACTOR: 2003 John Deer 4115, 410 bucket, 36 hours, 24HP diesel. $13,900. (614)332-5941

GOOD LUCK

....

That is very close to what I paid for a nearly identical package last july (I didn't get the I-match, heaters or work lights). My tractor came from Oregon.

Please confirm that the level indicator is on your FEL and not on the backhoe, and make sure you are getting the tall folding ROPS with the B/H package. ....

You're right, the level indicator was for the FEL, I just typed it in the wrong place. Although the JD website configurator had the taller ROPS as an additional extra, the dealer said that the folding ROPS option was automatically the taller one for the backhoe. I'll check to be sure which was priced.

There was one other configuration issue though that neither dealer could answer. I wanted the tractor setup so I could add a top and tilt. I guess these are rare around here because neither of them had installed one before or could tell me what additional items I may need installedto run one. One even said that there was not enough room on the back for the power beyond hookups and the remote hydraulic hookups. Is this true? If I get both installed is this enough for the top and tilt or do I need to have a diverter valve and another joystick installed? What all comes with the gearmore setup? ....

I can tell you how it's hooked up on my JD 4310, but not sure it applies to the 4115. There are PB outlets on the rear that provide full hydraulic flow to the backhoe. There are also additional outlets for the Top-And-Tilt. The TnT required two extra SCVs feeding those outlets and an electric diverter valve. When the diverter is switched one way the joystick controls the loader, when it's switched the other way the same joystick controls the TnT.

There is plenty of space for all the rear outlets and I'm sure your 4115 has enough space as well. I don't know, however, if JD makes brackets for the 4115 to accomodate all the outlets. Doesn't seem hard to fabricate something if not. ....

I would not be surprised if you had to choose between a power beyond kit and the rear outlet for the scv.

My Gearmore top n' tilt just plugs into the power beyond ports that would run the B/H or the wood splitter if it were in place. ....

Mark, sometime when you're out with the camera I'd be curious to see pictures of your TnT setup and controls. ....

I would be happy to do so. I have the backhoe on right now so it will be a week or so. ....
